My name is Zachary Price. I graduated from a historically black university, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, with a B.S in Civil Engineering. I was highly involved as an undergraduate student and was led to higher education because I found a deep desire to help create meaningful change that positively impacted students around me. This led to my long-term goal of becoming a college president and being a transformational leader at a HBCU. My short-term goal is to learn more about executive decision making through institutional research and data collection. The field of Institutional Research seemed like the perfect merger of analytical and numeric thinking with my desire to move change forward with higher education institutions. I hope that universities I work for will have administrators who are keen on using data to inform their decisions, regardless of how they’ve used them historically. In a time where truth seems harder to decipher and recognize, it is my hope that legitimate data can help build confidence in making good administrative decisions for the future.
